Description

A simple recipe for making iced coffee sweetened with brown sugar caramel syrup.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup strong brewed coffee, chilled
  • 1/2 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Combine brown sugar and water in a small saucepan. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves completely, about 2 minutes. Do not boil rapidly.
  2. Remove the syrup from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract. Let the syrup cool slightly.
  3. Fill a glass with ice cubes.
  4. Pour the cooled coffee over the ice.
  5. Add the milk to the glass.
  6. Pour the brown sugar caramel syrup over the coffee mixture.
  7. Stir well before drinking.

Notes

  • You can adjust the amount of syrup to match your preferred sweetness level.
  • For a stronger coffee flavor, use less milk or brew the coffee stronger.
