Ingredients

- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup fresh blueberries
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Gently fold in the blueberries.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
- Let cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- Use fresh or frozen blueberries. If using frozen, do not thaw before adding to the dough.
- Do not overmix the dough after adding the dry ingredients.
- For a chewier cookie, reduce the baking time by a minute or two.
