A quick and easy cheesy beef taco with a Meximelt twist.
Ingredients

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 1/2 cup water
- 6 taco shells
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 1/4 cup chopped bell pepper
- 1/4 cup salsa
- Sour cream (optional)
- Lettuce (optional)
Instructions
- Brown ground beef in a skillet. Drain fat.
- Add taco seasoning and water. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Warm taco shells according to package directions.
- Fill taco shells with beef mixture.
- Top with cheese, onion, bell pepper, and salsa.
- Serve with sour cream and lettuce if desired.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a pinch of chili powder to the beef mixture.
- You can substitute Monterey Jack cheese for cheddar.
- Make sure to drain the fat from the beef thoroughly.
