Description

A quick and easy beef and broccoli stir-fry recipe.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 head broccoli, cut into florets
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Cooked rice, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine sliced beef with soy sauce and cornstarch. Let marinate for 10 minutes.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add beef and stir-fry until browned. Remove beef from skillet.
  3. Add broccoli florets to the skillet and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp.
  4. Add beef broth, minced garlic, and grated ginger to the skillet. Bring to a simmer.
  5. Return beef to the skillet. Stir in sesame oil and cook for 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the beef and broccoli.
  6. Serve immediately over cooked rice.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce.
  • You can substitute other cuts of beef like sirloin or skirt steak.
