Description
A rich and creamy gelatin dessert flavored with Baileys Irish Cream and coffee.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1/2 cup cold water
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 (3 ounce) package unflavored gelatin
- 1/2 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled
- 1/4 cup Baileys Irish Cream
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- Whipped cream, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a bowl, dissolve the unflavored gelatin in the cold water. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
- Add the boiling water and sugar to the gelatin mixture. Stir until the gelatin and sugar are completely dissolved.
- Stir in the cooled brewed coffee and Baileys Irish Cream.
- In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the gelatin mixture.
- Pour the mixture into individual serving dishes or a larger mold.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, or until firm.
- Garnish with whipped cream before serving, if desired.
Notes
- For a firmer dessert, you can reduce the amount of Baileys Irish Cream slightly.
- Ensure the coffee is completely cooled before adding it to the gelatin mixture to prevent it from dissolving the gelatin.
- You can experiment with different coffee strengths to adjust the coffee flavor.
