Ingredients

- 1 cup butter
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer, stirring occasionally.
- Reduce heat to low and gradually whisk in Parmesan cheese until smooth.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Serve immediately over pasta.
Notes
- For a thinner sauce, add a little more cream.
- For a richer sauce, add an extra tablespoon of butter.
