Description
Crispy and flavorful chicken wings coated in a sweet and savory honey garlic sauce, made easily in your air fryer.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 pounds chicken wings, separated into drumettes and flats
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon water
- Sesame seeds, for garnish
- Chopped green onions, for garnish
Instructions
- Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels. Toss them with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
- Arrange the wings in a single layer in your air fryer basket.
- Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
- While the wings cook, prepare the sauce. In a small saucepan, combine honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and grated ginger.
- In a small bowl, whisk together cornstarch and water to create a slurry.
- Bring the honey garlic mixture to a simmer over medium heat. Stir in the cornstarch slurry and cook, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens, about 1-2 minutes.
- Once the wings are cooked, transfer them to a large bowl. Pour the honey garlic sauce over the wings and toss to coat evenly.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving.
Notes
- For extra crispy wings, you can pat them dry very thoroughly before seasoning.
- Adjust the amount of garlic and ginger to your preference.
- If you don’t have fresh ginger, you can use 1/2 teaspoon of ground ginger.
